black screen

Hello

often when I leave the game the screen becomes completely black and I have no control and I have to restart the computer. I would like to know if anyone has had this problem and if there is a solution.

3. What mods do you have and are they updated?
4. Post your game.log on pastebin and you'll get help for sure.

Yes have had this issue in A.T.S. Please ck Resolution, Refresh Rate Per Monitor Specifications. Ck Windows Resolution/Right click Desk Top/Tap Screen Resolution & Refresah Rate, GPU Driver Control Panel/Resolution & Refresh Rate. ATS Options/Graphics/Resolution and Refresh Rate... If opted in to ATS Open Beta 1.35+ O.S. 7 64 Bit "May Have To Opt Out". Had To. ATS/Options/Graphics Refresh Rates change 60Hz to 59Hz, 50Hz to 49Hz, 30Hz to 29Hz when forcing DX11 in config file. "Not All Monitors will run these refresh rates or 1/2 refresh rate 30Hz. Can try to force 1/2 refresh rate in NCP may cause a """Blank""" Screen. Windows and NCP Resolutions and Refresh Rate must = the same. Cannot force DX 11 on O.S. 7... O.S. 7 DX9 at the moment. SCS is working on this.

Varify DX Version Start/Run/dxdiag/ General tab will list DX version. Note Windows does not come with any DX Version. Has to be updated thru windpws Up Date or MS Library is the best option when installing the O.S...
In Order to run DX11 in any game.
1. OS must support DX 11, Must be 64 BIT. Vista, 7, 10. XP Not supported.
2. GPU must support DX11.
3. Game Engine must support the operating system Vista, 7 or 10 64 Bit and DX11 installed and up to date....

If one of those three factors are missing the game will default to DX9..

If Open Beta 1.35+ Start a new Profile "No Mods".

If this does not fix the issue then please answer 1 thru 6..

1. Windows Operating system Version and Bit Rate?
2. Does Monitor go blank when running other apps?
3. GPU Installed
Edit: 4. Monitor Resolution and Refresh Rate? Per Monitor Specifications.
6. DX Version Start/Run/dxdiag General Tab Bottom will list the Dx Version.
7. Cable Type from GPU to Monitor? HDMI Cable may only support 30Hz. Can cause conflicts Not All monitors can run at 1/2 refresh rate. 60Hz = 30Hz "Blank Screen".
8. Mods Installed Yes No?

I know this thread is old but I'm getting the same issue I load up this game and I get a black window and a window sound and I have to alt f4 it to close the window x on top of screen is non responsive I was just playing last night put it to sleep and woke up to play some more and game had crashed at some point between now wont load not even audio

Please post your complete game.log file from the crash to http://pastebin.com (copy/paste, split the game.log if it is too big) and post the link to it here please. This way we can find out what the problem is.

You can find your game.log in your documents in the ATS folder as a default install on Windows. (If it is not there check OneDrive.) On a Mac the ATS folder is in your Library and there in the Application Support.

If pastebin is not available in your country please use http://rentry.co and post the link to it here please. The page works like pastebin.

When you pasted the game.log from the crash to pastebin you click on the end of the page on "Create new paste". When it worked you copy the link in the addressbar and paste it here as a comment.

It was working fine last night though? Why would it suddenly not work?

Because your hardware gave up. What are you expecting from something that is not meant for gaming?
