Las Vegas
ok so I was driving through Las Vegas looking at the casino's and thinking why are there not more casino's and attractions in Las Vegas where is sands casino and trump plaza and all the big name casinos. the buildings look nice at night all lite up and beautiful but I feel Las vegas needs more added to it more casino's and movie theatres and broadway shows ect and I Feel scs should of added in Harley Davidson Motor cycle shops into the game as your going through these small towns and cities. and scs should have added motor cycles on the roads now thats all American just ask my Dad and others who drive a Harley lol

SCS can't put the actual names of any of the casino's into the game unless they wanted to pay up some big money to use the branding. Which they're still doing right now with various truck manufacturers for the trucks.

Also, the world is scaled and the current map scale is about 1:35, so there is only so much that can be put into the cities before it makes any real sense. With a 1:19 scale coming, there is a possibility that more could be added to the city, but also a chance maybe nothing will be added.

Also, not everyone rides on a harley. Yes, some do look nice and all, but its not any more American than someone driving down the road in a muscle car. (and I freakin' swear I hate almost every muscle car driver on the road)

Because A) licensing and B) they just can't make the cities 'realistic', unfortunately. I wish they could and would, but not gonna happen, in this "generation" atleast. Hopefully they'll be able to get a bit closer to the real world with future games.

Harley Davidson are COMPLETELY anal when it comes to their branding and intellectual property. I am not blaming or criticizing or attacking or judging. It's just a fact. You wanna use their likeness and/or logo in the marketing of your product? It will cost you.
If you don't get permission beforehand? It will cost you more.

Yup all licensing issues. That's way the Mandalay Bay Resort in game is called Manadella, it's also why the Hollywood sign says World of Trucks. Licensing is a real nutache.

It's the same the world over in ETS2 or ATS. My city has basically NOTHING in it other than it's world renowned bridge, yet it has over 500,000 population, a castle on a (extinct ;) ) volcano in the heart of it's main thoroughfare. It's as picture perfect as you could want.

But, hey ho. The game is about driving partly authentic roads -even they are way,way wrong.:steamsad:

SCS isn't going to touch the cities for the most part. Just a few tweaks here and there, but nothing major.

Pay for licensing...geez...You think it would be the other way around.
If I had a product I wanted to sell I would be begging to get it seen in a video game.

Example: Here SCS...Take my money. Make sure you plaster the highways with billboards advertising Brand X.

Now days...you can't even whistle the theme to The Andy Griffith show without worrying about copyright infringement.

Bellagio is in the game, although it's not mentioned on any sign.

Yeah, there are things like that. There are recognizeable Fords, but no labels.

On the other hand, there are small things like the WIg Wam Motel which are reproduced faithfully in all their Murican glory.

As to Vegas it burns my chaps that there are all these great hotels, but the poor trucker has to schlep to the outskirts just to find someplace to sleep.

I don't think tractor trailors are likely allowed to drive down the strip anyway ;)

I don't think they are

At 1:20 scale probadly not worth revisiting Vegas it done well. already. Los Angeles needed to redone if anything. At least they made landmakrs unlike Xplane where you have to take it into your own hands.

I hate driving through Vegas boring looking, red lights every 10 feet and 8 lane roads with 30 mph limits.
Twelvefield Sep 18, 2016 @ 9:37pm
At least the 8 lanes aren't packed with traffic. There are trucks in the strip, but all they do is pull giant advertisements like massive billboards mounted on flatbeds. Not tractor-trailers as I recall, but some big trucks. The Strip is powerfully disconnected from human reality, which is I suppose the whole point.
