Think "should I..." get 24 or 27 inch triples, etc..etc.. not forgetting the Track ir.
Back to reality now.
I would have a think about where your gaming tastes may head soon now you have a wheel.
I had a look at the Steam games you have and you obviously like driving games and a bit of racing.
If you think you may go towards race sims then definately get triples.
If not I would get the Track ir and a quality single monitor.
I have both. 3 x 24" monitors and Track ir but I mainly do sim racing.
The only time I use the Track ir is the very rare bit of flight sim and if I feel like some cruizing with ATS/ETS2.
Using the Track ir with triples is handy but not anywhere near as useful as if you only had a single monitor.
For the screens, have you thought about a single 21:9 widescreen in a suitable large size? downgraded from triple 1080p to a single 1440p and have found that the reduction in peripheral vision is minimal but the jump in in-game performance it major.
I kid you not when I bought TRACK IR 5 ,, 3 moinths ago I loaded up ETS2 stuck my head out of the drivers widow and a huge lorry came whizzing past, my boxer shorts turned from blue to brown and I let out an allmight scream, I have never been scared out of my wits playing games, but I didnt expect it in that split second as I poped my head out of the window, that was planed to the second from AI " HAHAHAHAHA" as allways I wasnt recording so for me to do it again would'nt be real.
Yes TRACK IR 5 can be fun worth every penny in my book.
Now I have 3 x 26" monitors all the same brand IF you have the money then get Track IR5 first, then as you all ready have a monitor save up and get the other 2. I cant decide for you if it was me, then I would get three monitors first as they are cheap to buy, I am sorry I CANT SHOW YOU MY SETUP, i DONT THINK WE CAN ADVERTISE ON HERE, , Add me as a friend and ill put you through my streaming site, I have 3 of them and I am willingh to show you, or better still go on the tube and watch other people streaming with TRACK IR and 3 Monitors.
GOOD LUCK
Anyway, I find a TrackIR with 3 monitors a little overkill. Why not get a VR headset instead?
VR is pretty cool, but it needs work. The very close focus gives many users headaches. You generally can't see your controls. Resolution and framerate can be problematic with some games, and there's a split in development strategies between OR and Vive kind of like the old VHS vs Betamax wars. You can't divide the VR into views and data (like cockpit and map views) without suffering a psychotic break.
Light field VR is very exciting to me, and might be the one thing that solves many of these current issues.
I do have a pretty good monitor its a dell 32" monitor I can give u specs if u want but I don't know them off the top of my head. All the monitors that I have looked at are quite pricey, but those are ones that are around the 32" mark to match mine. The one thing I noticed is that the monitors seem wider than the one I have (the monitor is far from new my grandpa had it for ATLEAST 10 years) it still works so I still have it. Also my PC is new as of this Christmas (dell xps will post specs later this evening)
VR seems great but all the ones I have seen are well out of my price range (all the ones I have seen are close to the $1000 mark)
Then use all the money you didn't spend on another two monitors.
It's a console command slowing down the time (1.0 is normal, 0.7 is 70% of time speed):
You can get to the console already at the profile selection screen before the game starts, as also you can set the 'warp' there, too. If you forget to set the warp there, you can do it in the game's menu after loading the profile, or while already driving (the best on the 'F1' pause screen).
The time warp setting isn't persistent between game restarts. You need to set it every time you start the game. You don't need to set it between loading different saves or selecting different profiles.
I cant even disable teh trackIR now that my brain has been wired for it. Its like my eyes dont work right ;)
Too early for VR for me. Ive had my triples for 3-4 years now. Occulus wasnt even DK1 yet and still owned by Palmer Lucky.
My TrackIR3 sat on a shelf for many years so Im using it now but I would gladly trade up if teh difference was enought o justify it. I can go look it up but if you know what the differences are feel free to inform me.
