That being said, I am not sure how the game sizes compare exactly, but I am fairly sure ETS2 is larger, and would feel larger while driving the speed limit.
imo the slower speed limit in ETS2 makes it feel larger than it actually is
ATS
- Hobbe, NM - Seattle, WA: 2800 km (1740 miles)
ETS2
- Edirne (TR) - Faro (E): 4500 km
- St Petersburg (RU) - Seville (E): 4400 km
There are probably other longer combinations but I think they are only slightly longer than the ones currently available in my games. Road distance from corner to corner of the maps ETS2 seems to be the larger one.
But there are other aspects of "large" which I don't have tested:
ATS also has more city 1:3 scale roads where time goes slower, though with the newer ETS2 dlc that difference is getting less.
Generally speaking i always feel like I can get from point A to B with the same distance a lot quicker in ETS2 than ATS, the scale difference between the games doesn't justify that.
