However, if one player accepts a job on Convoy mode, the other players are able to take the same job. This way, you and any friends are able to drive the same route, with the same cargo, to and from the same place at the same time. Each player will still be responsible for their own truck, and each player will be payed at the end of the route.
There is no gameplay benefit to playing Convoy mode, it is purely for fun to be able to drive with a friend. Unlike FS, where multiple people can work to do the same task, you are still just working for yourself. There is also no downside to playing Convoy mode, as you are given the option to revert the save to before joining if something happens
Yes and no. You can drive together doing the same job, you don't have to be different jobs. Although it's not uncommon to join a game late, and then find a run that goes the same route as the people already haulin.
