needs a better optimization
i like the game and it can perform well at times but the more DLC i have seen come out the fps hit i have seen yes i have mods but even with the mods i have
my cpu I9 10900KF is only hitting max 20% and Gpu rtx 3090 round about 40% and then stuck at about 50fps depending what truck i have out at the time
we need to have a proper multi core and multi thread update that will let the cpu use all the threads and cores OR at least 8 threads 4 cores at the moment it seems to only let me use 4 threads and 2 cores i hate games that do this just Code the game for the future there a lot of games at the moment that seem to be doing this
FS22 is another one that really needs multicore and a better multithread when you run a 8x map with machines on the map its like ATS i can have 165 FPS vsynced in 3rd Person but i drop down to 80fps in first person on a modified SCS truck but highly detailed Truck about 50fps

The game only uses a single core at the moment.

You should realize that a 3090 is extreme overkill for this game right now. My EVGA RTX 3080 12GB doesn't even get above 60°C when playing. I see where you are coming from. However only getting 50fps on a 3090 is a bit staggering. Not the first time I have seen people mention high end cards getting really low FPS.

We have been told that DX12 is being worked on(this alone is not that big of news), better AA is coming, game performance improvements, and a new way to render the game is also coming is the big news. This was revealed by Pavel in the Christmas 2021 stream. With DX12 there does need to be multicore support for the game in my opinion.

My guess is since Texas is the state that most everyone is looking forward to is, and for Texas to be shown in the most positive light is when these will be implemented.

i know a 3090 is overkill the reason i got it i got a really good deal on it my mate wanted my Zotac Amp Extreme 1080ti and he paid 650 pounds for it last year and this 3090 Zotac Amp Extreme Holo was on sale Brand New from SCAN UK with 5 Year warranty for 1600 pounds and this GPU at 100% usage for 2 hours will max out at 68c with a room Temp of 31c
i did not know DX12 is coming can't wait if it is

It was first revealed by Pavel last summer when SCS released the DAF XG/XG+ trucks for ETS2 during a live stream.

What resolution is this? I am 3440x1400 200% scaled and get well above 100 fps, if I scale about 400% I get around 70-80fps on a rtx3070.
125% scaled 3440x1440 but thats with mod trucks

You're pushing it to the limit. Try disabling any scaling (even the smallest one), and low down your SSAO and mirror resolution. It does miracles, and doesn't spoil the visual.
tried 100% scale and no SSAO and turned Mirror res to med and that only increases it by 8fps

Weird. I am at 400% scaling with a evga RTX 3070 and getting 75-90 consistent fps. I don’t have a ton of mods only about 20. My only issue is i get a slight stutter from time to time. But i was able to make is much less visible.

Have you tried a clean profile no mods?
at 125% scaling with max graphics in Denver Colorado about 86FPS on new save no mods https://imgur.com/a/nabXbzJ

i don't get what it is i just tried same truck no mods on new save 110fps in Casper and old save with mods same truck and 100fps that is fine for me but if i modify my truck i go down to 60fps
i have found the fps drop it is when ever i modify my trucks if i keep them stock its fine if i modify them like the KW 900 highway killer it goes from 94fps to 50-60fps

That is the lighting on Jon Ruda's stuff. It is poorly optimized.

If you are running the led lights what happens you use the ones that say for slow cpu(even though yours isn't).
i don't see the ones that say Slow CPU

I just loaded the truck. I thought it was like the Classic XL to where you can choose which sidelights to run.

I do know that the HK is getting an update soon so hopefully that option will be there.

You just discovered the issue. It's the mod (as usual).

But to be honest, do you notice any VISIBLE frame drop, or you only see it drops from 100 to 60 FPS wil the counter on? The human eye isn't supposed to notice any difference from anything over 60 FPS.
