SCANIA Spotted in VA?
So I was driving my car in Northern Virginia when I spotted something odd in a lot full of old big rigs. Along with the K100 cabovers and transtars, I noticed something rather out of place. From the front, it appeared to be a Scania 113, the "nosed" version. If I'm not wrong, these are from South America. so what is a Brazilian truck doing in the Northern US? Front on, It looked like this:

I thought it would be cool to put this out there, maybe spark some discussion. I may be in an area popular with imports, I've seen at least two Kenworths with DAF cabs.

It was probably imported since I don't believe Scania directly sells to the US. I think some people that are involved in truck shows sometimes import their customized trucks or something to show off or whatever. I'm not sure of the details since its not my specialty.

Makes sense, although it didn't look coustomized to me. Could be wrong though, I was far away.

That Scania are made in Sweden it's a truck back from the 80th and you can still see a few of them on the roads in Europe but there is not many back of them, most of them are show trucks today.

You fail to realise OP is talking about spotting a Scania in Virginia, in real life.

Scania sold the 3 series range in the northeastern states inculding that "nosed" version. Scania pulled out of the us after a few years but there is still a garage in New Jersey that services them. http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/30165-when-scania-trucks-roamed-north-america/ Here's some more info about american scanias inculding some photos of brochures and real trucks.

Scanias in the United States? Right on. (Now if I could just jam one of those V8's in my M2....)

Some months ago, I saw a MAN bobtail (26' straght truck) in southern California. Couldn't tell you what model it was, but I do remember it being very similar to one of the models I've seen in Construction Simulator. It was a flatbed or one of those "roll-off" outfits.

Wow. MAN too, and a modern one none the less. Was it a 4x6, a 4x2, or a 4x8?

Single drive axle, 24' straight truck.

Just wondering, was it a full on MAN, or was it a MAN with American badging? Because as I said befor, Kenworth is using DAF cabovers now.

I looked up those rebadged DAF's. Neat looking trucks, but I distinctly remember seeing "MAN" on this truck's grille.

I remember it didn't look too much unlike this one here (hopefully the link works! Also, double negative sentence fail)

I still wonder how a MAN got here. I looked on the site, and the closest place to here that they sell them is in a place in South America that's apparently owned by France: https://www.mantruckandbus.com/en/index.html
