How to launch up with Oculus Quest 2?

I have played many PC games with VR, but can not seem to figure out how to switch it to the VR mode (using oculus beta 1.43). Is there a map key like MFS has?

After opting into the VR beta, you need to use the -oculus command line launch option to launch in VR, and your Oculus software on your PC should be set to allow unknown sources. Good luck!

Does this not work in beta 1.47 for the oculus version. All I get is vr but like I'm looking through a screen that keeps move

Yep. (This is the top (non-YouTube) Google Result in May 2023...) Oculus Beta 1.47 with the -oculus flag in Properties launches ATS and ETS both in Theater mode (Huge curved monitor), no matter whether using Air Link, Quest Link (wired), Virtual Desktop, or ALVR.

Wired link user here with no theater mode issue in 1.47 vr branch using -oculus flag. Both games launch in vr as usual for me. Just chiming in that it's not a universal issue.

I found what MY issue was - there is an option that is now Checked By Default in Properties, and if you're used to just updating to the Oculus version and adding -oculus to the command line options (as it's been in the past) it'll gitcha! The checkbox for "Use Theater Mode When SteamVR Is Active" is now CHECKED BY DEFAULT.

This was not always the case.
Unchecked the two checkboxes at the top of the Properties page (for Steam Overlay and for Theater Mode When SteamVR...) and all is right with the world again...

@TomahawkJackson, I've had that setting turned off for a while now, but don't remember if I had to switch it off myself or not. In any case, hearing it's steam's Theater Mode that you were experiencing made me wonder if you're running SteamVR in addition to the Oculus software for ATS (and/or ETS2), as you shouldn't need SteamVR running with the -oculus switch. I just feel like it's unnecessary bloat that isn't needed for SCS games on Oculus (at least Quest) devices.

It depended entirely on which method I was trying to get working at the time. I tested:
Oculus Link - gave me the 'loading trucksim' with the halftone truck icon, but never loaded - if I viewed the desktop from OLink Dashboard, I could see ATS on the desktop.
Oculus AirLink - same thing.
Virtual Desktop - Loaded to the Desktop version, and when I launched SteamVR from Virtual Desktop, I got Steam Theater Mode.
ALXR - Effectively the same thing as Virtual Desktop, but without the intermediate Virtual Desktop...Desktop. It just launched into AMTruckSim in Steam Theater.

Unchecking the box in Properties resolved the "Theater Mode" issue in all test cases I tried,..the checkbox seems to have been checked by default at some point in the last 12 months or so.

so (given that this is the top Search Result in May 2023) - that's *probably* the solution, no matter which headset you have.
