Logitech G290 Steering very stiff after update.
GHub did an update and now my steering is so stiff to the point where it feels I could break the wheel trying to do a full rotation. Anyone else have this issue or know a fix?

I have to have GHub open (even if it gets stuck at 'Loading Resources', which is all of the time now), then when I load ATS or ETS2 the force feedback feels normal.

I cant get mine to work right, its like its not registering the game as having its own force feedback.
In the FFB settings toward the bottom there is a box marked something like ' use force feedback in games without FFB'

Manually set it, leave ghub open and start ATS, see if that helps.

not working for myself either all of a sudden

I went in to the windows peripheral settings and configured the wheel manually. It took me an hour of fiddling but I got everything back to where its working correctly. God bless modern technology and all of its time saving conveniences.

Yep, just reinstall the software and disable auto update for the future! The Logitech programming team must simply just be an absolute unable ♥♥♥♥ show of dudes. They can't even fix their own software not beeing able to save custom profile settings.

THANK YOU so much !!

deleting all the folders, un-installing and re-installing G Hub worked.
keeping my settings.json got me my previous settings back, perfect.

although it is indeed a web-installer and I now have the exact same version number of G Hub installed as before. so the last G Hub "update" must have messed up something else.. wow - Logitech has some real talented "developers" !!

why on earth has something like a companion software for HID hardware to be updated that often anyways?! the hardware was working fine for years so WHAT ARE THEY DOING ???

auto-"Updates" OFF from now on !

The oldest existing trick but apparently it still works and is still needed.

You saved my day! Thank you so much!

Thanks for the help, had the issue with the g923 too...but i took a few less steps than you to fix it.

1. Download Ghub installer
2. Run ghub installer and use reinstall (current version will be uninstalled by the installer), keep settings
3. everything worked as it should

Looked in the reg before, but just clicked trough the entries to see which would the proper for the wheel, and just removed a faulty (probably non existent one from the g29 which i used a few years back) one..

Anyway, over the years, in my opinion, the solution I suggest is also the best method and I've gotten used to it, something that becomes a habit is simple in the long run so why not.

I dont think it is bad to "suggest" the "full way" (hey, i would not have thought about reinstalling ghub to solve that as the webinstaller literally just would install the exact same version of it), but at least most people just should start with the basic step and see if it helps.

Not everyone is knowledgeable enough to find that stuff in regedit (or have to search how to get into it) and may accidently delete something else (especially if they try it for a other wheel and have to find the correct entry......if there are more than one for the wheel) and might cause other issues with that.

I recently had problems with my Logitech G920 wheel too. Very similar to what the OP described. I've managed to fix it just from uninstalling G Hub and installing the most recent version on Logitech's site. Might be worth a try before going all in with Logitech's fix.

Thanks for everyone who weighed on this issue, I did a reinstall of GHUB and redid the ATS input wizard too, all is back to normal for me as well.
