Insurance for Servicing
Hi All

Can someone please help and let me know how the insurance % works for servicing? I am sitting at 100% (meaning I pay the full cost of all repairs). I cannot lower it no matter what. I have just done 4 deliveries with various distances with only 1 fine in each (and no real damage) but it is still 100% :(

I believe it works similar to real life. The more you crash, or get tickets, the higher it is.

So drive better basically.

Or, get a "no damage" mod and fuggetaboutit.

Coinsurance works like this according to Max of SCS:
"increase/decrease are handled per day with/without accident. increase is weighted by seriousness of accident (%damage)."
(source: https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=665687#p665687)
and
"co-insurance level is updated daily on midnight (in SP time).
if you accumulated lot of damage that day it will rise. in extreme case it can be up to 100%."

It sounds to me like you need 24 hour periods with no accidents, irrespective of damage levels, for the rate to decrease,

I never liked the Co-Insurance system in ATS, as it is not realistic at all. You would never file an insurance claim to Service your truck, like change oil, or repair worn out tires, or broken mechanical parts caused by normal use. You would only use Insurance in cases of a serious accident ..I ignore it completely

Thank you so much mate, that is really helpful, at least I know the exact mechanics so I can try and lower it.

I completely agree, accident damage and general servicing should of been split somehow.
