activation key

i bought the disk version of american truck sim 2 but i lost the book thing that comes inside the case wich i assume has the activation key on it. anyone know how i could get the activation key without that book thing? pls help thx

SCS has nothing to do with it, He has to be careful about the things he buys. He can't lose things like that.

id assume most people throw those things out. i had the game downloaded and installed for a long time but decided to play it agian and wanted to do multiplayer. idk tho

The disc is pretty worthless as that just contains partial installation files. The activation key is essential and if you've lost it, you'll have to obtain another copy of the game either physical with a new code, or digitally.

Fraud would be rife if users could just get a new key just because they have a disk in their possession.

You need to use the code to activate it and install it. Steam is a requirement to do this. Think about it logically - how were you able to play the game WITHOUT the code? In theory, that means you should be able to play the game with just the disk now but you can't because you need a new code or to sign into the account that owns the game.

ATS doesn't have a non-Steam variant. The physical copy is just a Steam installation file and Steam is required to play this game. The code is likely just to activate the product on a Steam account, so without it, there's no legitimate way to play the game without either buying a new one, either from retail or Steam itself.

Steam is a DRM requirement for this game. You don’t own it on the account you are posting from so it is activated on another account you’ll have to recover.

Black Friday and Xmas sales are both coming up so if you don't have any luck from SCS or Steam in getting your old activation key then you could get the game again really cheap.
