I say get them both, they are both good maps, but if you really have to choose I would say Washington. That gives you the entire west coast. It also has a more varied terrain and scenery. Utah is mostly desert.

both, and Idaho comes later this year.

Washington is greener, comparable with Oregon. It may also result in longer jobs.

Utah has some nice rocky formations, but it's mostly sands and rocks.

I guess it depends on your own choice. I do assume you already own Oregon, if not, Washington won't be connected to the rest of the map.

Purno's point about Oregon is rather important. If you don't have Oregon then Washington is a bother to get too (have to buy a garage with the interface once you own at least 3 on main map, and limited to intra-WA loads).

If you do, well they both are well done.

Personally Washington is my favorite state so far. Very well done, interesting drop points, and the green scenery is a nice change from the desertic southwest.
Always glad to take a load there.

Utah is however also well done, high speed limits, and latest assets. As far as desert goes some nice views as well.

I am from the other side of the Atlantic so only going on what I can see on maps, but Idaho looks very scenic with not many large cities and plenty of forests and mountains - I love the scenic drives in ATS. It is, for me, what makes me play it more than ETS2, despite the latter featuring the sort of trucks we see over here in the UK.

Antarctica, because thats where I am from and it is a great place to drive trucks on and about, plus one get to see real polar bear! Now that should want you go there huh! 🍦🍺

You could deliver a trailer of fish, i'm sure the Polar Bears and Penguins would really appreciate it :steamhappy:
Now thats a good idea there. I'm sure the devs have to include my favorite country map now hauling fish for the polars and funny birds that dont fly! :-)

Washington for the variety of deep forest compared to more desert (nothing wrong with that, we just have a lot already). Plus the main Interstate through Salt Lake is terrible to drive in real life so it's one of the few roads I don't enjoy even in a simulation

Yeah why not. But on the technical side of things, Antarctica has no roads, There is no way to get a truck out from the mainland and then there's the various territorial claims...
Antarctica has no polar bears either..

It's your money and your choice at the end of the day - I doubt if you would be disappointed whichever you get.
If you have Oregon then Washington will be a good fit for the forthcoming Idaho DLC as they will all join up.
