American Truck Simulator Map DLC Clarifications [blog.scssoft.com]
In this blog it is posted:
It would be great to get the chance to reach the East Coast, it would be fabulous to be able to push north towards at least 60 degs latitude and south towards the Equatorial. But ultimately, it is up to you, our fans, if this happen - you will vote with your wallets. We expect to get the right guidance from you on future growth of our team to handle the new opportunities and challenges.
The general consensus will be once they reach the smaller states east of the Mississippi that we should start seeing state packs, or multiple states in one DLC.
We, the player base, vote on continuing development with our wallets. This simply means buying the official map expansions even though they are not a required purchase.
Edit: As for an ATS2: Just like with ETS3 it won't happen. The licences SCS have are only for the respective game and not for any follow-up game meaning that they would have to renegotiate the licences which is both expensive and time consuming.
I just bought the latest 3 states for 30 bucks a few days ago.
I'd love to drive from one coast to the other, even if it's gonna take hours.
Might need to prepare some food when that day comes lol
Considering i dont think they plan to move that far into canada it would likely be a ferry from oregon or washington
Maybe I just don't know the game that well. I've had it for a while but only play a couple hours at a time every few months.
It just seems empty to me.Driving from on ramp to off ramp, it all feels repetitive and we need alternate routs, small side roads with sharp turns and big hills.
