The definition of 'impossible' is not 'because *I* can't do it'. Just sayin'.

That's definitely not among the hardest spots. Try a double in the small grocery stores that require to park the trailers straight to the left of entrance along the wall, there is not enough distance to turn in the parking lot and straighten the trailers so you actually need to reverse the double in the end (I love the irony of WOTR considering all the double parking spots as easy parking). Or an heavy cargo in a Bitumen drop off, along the building to the right of the entrance (same issue, too little room to get the massive trailer inside while straightening it right away).

I thought some of these were really hard until I watched The First Crew's videos (done by a real life ex-trucker) on YouTube about how to move the trailer about. I'm still not great, but it's amazing how much easier it is to move trailers about once you understand. Interestingly, it's actually easier with long trailers once you have the technique and you can turn a long trailer pretty much on its axles without much backward or forward movement.

There's room. I've not had to reverse any trailers getting into those spots. You just have to pull in as far as you can first, then cut the wheel over.

I can say that its a lot harder to park trailers in ats than in ets2. truck size is one challenge to be sure but i think the biggest issue is truck design and game limitation.

what ive found is that in say the W900 Kenworth and in the 389 Peterbilt to a lesser extent, you cant do one thing that a truck driver could do in real life:

open the door and lean out of it a little to see the trailer. this is a big deal with these trucks in particular because of where the exhaust pipes are. in ets2 because of the truck design the exhaust is usually routed behind the cabin thus eliminating the issue, but on an american truck their size lends itself to being a hinderance in this matter

if SCS made it so the cabin camera for looking out the window came out just past where it does now to simulate a driver opening the door slightly for a better view of the rear, i feel it would eliminate a lot of issues parking with these big trucks.

??? They *did*. Using the 'window behind' view you can see just fine. If you want to get the same effect from the forward view when swinging the view around out the window then look for the file adjust.w900_rearview_fix.fury6 in here (if you don't mind using mods):
