Promods Canada brake check points
Just curious, do i have to stop at them irl, like weigh stations (when called in), or can i just ignore them if i think my brakes are fine?

There is of course nothing in the game that tells me i have to stop at them, or bypass them, but i have fines turned off, so idk if i get fined for ignoring them.

Though i have fines turned off i usually stop at weigh stations when ordered to do so.

In real life some states were mandatory (NC for one). On some big descents it is advisory to do so. Dont think the game is mandatory

In BC if you blow by a brake check and get caught, it's a fine. I'm a retired trucker in BC.

In response to your question as it relates to the game American Truck Simulator with ProMods Canada added in: I drove past a brake checkpoint yesterday, and did not get fined.

Whether you can get away with it all the time or not remains to be seen. I have stopped at each brake check before, but I was rushed for time to get my delivery completed, so I thought I would try bypassing the brake checkpoint.

I have never bypassed a weigh station in the game, so I'm curious about that now. I would assume you would get fined for that.

In real life you will often see commercial vehicle enforcement cars at the weigh stations, and I would assume one might get chased down if one decided to ignore the scales.

On the other hand, in real life, the brake check points are usually just wide areas where a safety concious driver will stop to ensure thier equipment is functional before starting down the grade. There is rarely any commercial vehicle enforcement presence at these locations.

I've had dinner, and to everyone, thank you very much for your replies.

The way i understand it now they are not mandatory to stop at in BC, irl, it's more a convenience matter, a safe place to do some important checks before going on some up and down roads.
Sorry for the basic English, the right words are floating in my head somewhere, but they're not forming a proper sentence.

My experience is you do not have to stop at the brake check points in Promods Canada.

brakes always fail when you least expect it and need them the most

Well, in a truck, no air is brakes on full, so just cut the brake line.
