Winter weather?
I have ran across a mod or two for weather changes, but does the game have seasonal weather changes like farm simulator? If so is there anything to set or activate like the timezone setting etc?

There are no seasons in the base game. You are always in Summer. There is weather, such as rain, thunderstorms, and fog. There is a timezone setting, but it has minimal effect on the game.

Like ttower said, there's no seasons in the base game, but if you're looking for a good winter weather mod, I would definitely recommend Frosty's Winter Weather mod.

Thanks for the input, I'll check on that mod.

I'd go for Grimes fall mod cause snow in AZ and NM looks wierd.

I've wondered about that myself, I have the Winter Weather Mod, havent activated it yet, but wondered if the WHOLE country would be under snow or just the northern states
Which leads to a question (Sorry dont mean to hijack the thread) but is it possible to have mods for only certain areas or states ... I'm guessing not, but asking anyways

It does of course snow in parts of every state in the game, NM and northern AZ get plenty, but not in parts of some states. It does sometimes snow even in Tucson, but to have snow in San Diego is just wrong, and Grimes mod would put it there. You have to switch the mod on and off depending on where you drive if you want realism.

Many assets are shared throughout the game. The winter mod changes building textures so that the roofs have snow. Then that building gets used in Colorado and AZ. Same with trees and roads.

Only way to get regional is each region would have to have unique tree and building models. Certainly some buildings are unique, but many are shared.

So swapping out mods can work if your going to drive in same region for awhile. I wouldn't want to have to do that on a long trip that spans several states. I use winter mod for ETS2 as I mostly drive in Germany/Norway/Sweden. Then in ATS I use the fall mod. Looks great everywhere but especially in Colorado.
