i recently went on modhub.us and wanted to install realistic brutal weather mod and brought me to a site called modbase is it a safe site? i have a web advisor so it will tell me and it told the site was suspicious i am wondering if it is safe or my advisor is wrong?

All third party mod websites will throw tons of popups at you(unless using a good adblocker like Adblock Ultimate or uBlock Origin). These sites are like scammers. Trying to get you to click wrong links so their malware and other junk can be installed.

As long as you run those two addons that I mentioned above and making sure that you scan the file for any viruses you should be ok.

If the extension you are downloading is anything but .zip, .scs. or .rar then do not download it.

Go to the official SCS website's mod forum and you'll only find stuff the mod makers themselves uploaded. In your case SCS ATS Mod Forum[forum.scssoft.com]

I download from modbase a lot, just gotta click on the right links, click on generate link, wait the 10 seconds while it generates and then download
