Editing a mod in map editor
I'm playing with c2c version with no dlc. I want to go in and add more to my home state, Missouri, hwy 63 running north to south and add more cities. How do I load the mod into map editor?

Thank you that does help, but what do I do when there isnt a mbd file? What file do I type for edit MAP NAME?

Ok, found out mbd only shows up when you open the map file with map editor, at least thats the only way I see it. Go directly to the folder its not there, just the usa folder. When I go to load it though it goes through the loads but fails on everything saying something about the version of the core map. I dropped base.scs on scs extractor in base folder I created in install folder then archived the map folder and dropped that scs file in mods.

All you should have to do is type in "edit usa" (without the quotes)

Thats what I typed in. When I went to first try it I changed settings to open the console. I typed edit usa in and it went to the map editor, loaded some stuff then came up with an error about the core map version being wrong.

Problem of editing maps like C2C (i thought doing it by myself to fix some graphic problems it has and some gaps on the terrain and make tree fields more light to aliviate some fps in some areas specially the east coast) is that when a new version of the mod hits, you are going to lose all your changes unless you keep em separated as a different mod. Or you will need to do all over again. Every new c2c version replaces everything and your changes on those sectors will be lost. Thats why i dont edit map mods for now (also i never did it so theres that).

I never thought of that, but I managed to load usa finally. Now I'm just working on finding out where Missouri is and the part along I70 I want to place another city and a highway
