I had a strange issue after one patch.. where when I went to autoconfigure the wheel.. it would not show as connected.. yet when I went to adjust manually it was detected correctly..

Perhaps same issue?

I had this problem too and have seen others with it - it seems to be hit-or-miss. The problem did not show up in ETS2 though, which was weird. I used the LGS to configure the buttons and it works fine.

One possible solution I have seen is to delete the profile in LGS and reinstall LGS.

Another option is to delete the controls.sii file in the your ATS profile folder (C:\Users\(yourusername)\Documents\American Truck Simulator\profiles\[randomsetofletters]), then start the game. The game will rebuild the controls.sii file. Would COPY the original controls.sii file to another location just in case so you can copy it back in if needed.

You could try using a different USB port.

Since configuring it in LGS worked for me, I did not personally try these other suggestions. I'm am used to doing this for my Logitech G13, so never used the Input Wizard in either ATS or ETS2 to config the wheel.

A couple things I noticed with my G920 and ATS.

1. If my computer is already on and I decided to plug my G920 in, my PC does not recognize that I have it plugged it. I normally have to do a re-start.

2. If my my wife or son used my PC and logs me off of my profile, after signing back in my Logitech software refuses to open. That also required a re-start.

3. Sometimes, even though ATS sees my wheel and pedals, when I go to start trucking my steering wheel feels like there is no power steering and is very difficult to turn. Once I do a re-start it works fine.

The moral of my story is, anytime I play ATS I now just re-start my pc everytime or it just leads to frustration and failed trouble shooting. I do not know if its just my PC or if I have to tweak some setting somewhere but I find as long as my wheel is connected to the USB, and it is plugged into the wall outlet for power, if I just re-start my PC it works just fine.

I have to restart my computer every time I want ETS2 to see my wheel. ATS, it works fine. I have Win10 and the Logitech software installed.

I just got a g920 and the thing is acting crazy. Force feedback is permanently on and you can't even turn the wheel. I have to screw around turning on and off FF in the ATS game settings and messing with the sliders. It;s weird, but If I turn up the gain and center, then turn them all the way off it frees up the wheel.

What a piece of crap. it works fine with other games though, so I don't know what the hell is wrong with it.
