Assigning a Job to drivers
I have been wondering if there is a way to keep my drivers on high paying jobs? Assigning or dispatching them myself to do jobs. Used to play other simulators that you could do this and it worked really well to generate funds.

Sorry, no way to select jobs for your drivers. Their progress is scripted automatically by the game.

No, the only influence you can have on your drivers is the skills they will get. You cannot assign them a job or assign them a trailer. Any trailer which is in their garage which is not locked as Private or you have selected Use they will use. There are no other infuences you can have on your drivers. They are ai and are coded so just let them go and do what ai do.

you can assign them to type jobs. long-distance, time crunch etc. I have drivers with trailers on long distance, they pull down bout 15-20k a run

You can't assign them to these job types. You can assign them to learn these skills first.

You cannot assign any job to your drivers. The skills they have determine what jobs will be available.

Is it also scripted that, whenever you check their status, they're always resting when their deliveries are less than 350mi.?

That seems to be a bug introduced in v1.32.

Just keep monitoring their skill points and when one skill is fully levelled up, move on to the next skill, until they are all level 10 and take the maximum income from jobs.

I'm not making any profits from this driver,I saw another one and he's not even as skilled as the female driver is. My expenses are higher than ever before. I, alone profit 33K a day driving, her profit for the complany is $589 a day, that's only a tank full of fuel, depending on, the size of the tank and the cost of the fuel. wtf?! Her pay amounts to more than that. $384 + $16 a mile.

Well, Like Trump used to say, "YOU'RE FIRED!!!"

I'd rather my truck sit in the garage and do nothing than, hire a driver that makes more for herself than for the company she works for.

I'm for productivity, not looks.

EDIT: Just looked at the company profits per day, -$11K. Was $37K :caster_mad:

She just finished a job, her profit come up to almost double. I'll see how it goes over the next few days.
