TX Racing wheel not recognized by game
Hey I am wondering if anyone could help me out with ideas on how I might get my TX Thrustmaster racing wheel working on American Truck Simulator? I have quite a bit of money in the wheel and base and I bought it for this game and Iracing but neither game will recognize it. My computer shows that the wheel works fine and has all the updates but the games still won't recognize it so I can configure the wheel to the games. Am I out my money or is there a solution to the problem? If the wheel won't work with the games I am going to have a new wheel and base for sale or trade? I would sure appreciate some helpful advice.

Do you have the drivers instlalled?

Make sure your wheel is plugged into a USB2 port directly on your computer and not a USB3 port or a USB-Hub. Download and install the latest Firmware and software for your wheel from Thrustmaster. If you already have installed it re-install it.

https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/txracingwheelleather-en/

Read and follow the instructions on how to set up your wheel.

No. If you only have USB 3.0 ports, go ahead and use those. They are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports.

At my wits end mate, ACC won't show my wheel in controllers only my shifter. I unchecked all the check marks on controller config in steam, i went under manage game and switched to Forced OFF, redownloaded the driver/firmware...pc recognizes the wheel just fine...just gonna go back to console at this point.

The controls section of the game should recognise the Keyboard and wheel for control settings.

In Windows, click on Start/Settings/Control Panel. - Double-click on the Game Controllers (or Gaming Options) icon. ... If the name of your Thrustmaster product appears with OK status, your accessory is correctly installed and functional; thus, the problem stems from faulty settings in your game's options.

Yeah wheel shows OK and keyboard is usable in ACC if i highlight the keyboard controller option, i can even race with the bloody keyboard lol.

The "Generic Gamepad Configuration Support" option under the "Controller Settings" needs to be unchecked when using a wheel with Steam games. It looks as if you have already done this. Can you try restarting Steam or shutdown and then restart computer.

From the game controls menu - use the input wizard option (bottom right button)

Do you have any other games on Steam that can use a wheel? ETS 2 has a demo version that you can use for testing.
