Oculus Rift S
Hi all,

Just got my first VR headset the Oculus Rift S, and having trouble getting ATS to work with it. I can launch the game and see it on my headset display, but it's always in Steam Theatre mode (virtual desktop) nothing I do will get it to fullscreen and the head tracking doesn't work even if I load into the game.

Any time I press F11 which is the button I've read about, it just brings up some box to type in with coordinates? Very confused.

Can anyone help me please? Thanks.

Thank you I've already read everything on that page and none of it fixes my issue.

Make sure you have opted into the oculus beta in the game properties right click the game in your library click properties then click the beta tab and click the one that says "Oculus - oculus/vive - 1.36 - (SDK 1.4.0)" now with the window still open click general tab click "Set Launch Options" and type in
"-oculus" without the quotes. what happens when I start the game with my oculus is it will sometimes go into theater mode for up to thirty seconds then it will switch over to the headset

Thanks dragonnight. I have already done those steps you mention as well as opting in to oculus beta in case that would help but no luck. It still never switches into fullscreen.

I found information about some config changes so will try that in the morning.

I haven't tried it in vr since Sept, (plan to try it again later today), but I had it working.
Here's my post, hope it still works, after opting into oculus beta, it also needed -oculus in the launch options PLUS launch in dx11

So I found my solution in a random YouTube comment buried on some video or other. I had to go into the ATS config.cfg file and change: uset r_manual_stereo_in_menu "1"

It was 0 but now I changed it to 1 it works as expected. Now to some trucking fun finally :)

Documents\American Truck Simulator\config.cfg (open in notepad++)

Press CTRL+F to search for "uset r_manual_stereo_in_menu" and change the "0" to "1" then save the file
