Squeaky Pedal Fixed!
Does anyone know how to fix squeaky pedals? Mine is starting to bug me. I have had them for a little bit and they're already squeaking. I have a PXN V900.

Some sort of grease or lube at the pivot point may help you. Just make sure that you use something that is safe for whatever material your pedals are made of.

Would WD-40 work?

You are best to use graphite powder (or a similar dry lube)....anything with a liquid base will attract more dirt over time and really gunk it up.

Well thats better than a stuck throttle.

I would not use WD-40, it is not really a proper lubricant. I was thinking a type of grease that is suitable for RC car parts. Also Robinicus is correct, you may be better off using a type of graphite powder. I would just put up with the squeak until you are able to obtain a suitable solution.

I've been looking at that race wheel. How do you like it with ATS or ETS 2(if you have both games)?

NO! Dont use WD-40 its not good for plastic parts. use something like "silicone grease"
but if your hardware is only 1 day old and starts squeaking i would send it back.

I use this its really effective: https://cdnm.bike-discount.de/media/org/orgb_L/orgid_426/thumbs/131432_1569880.jpg

WD40 would work, but leaves a sort of wax substance behind, which could be bad for the pedal joints.

WD-40 is not a lubricant. It is a Water Displacement mixture, thus the name WD.

I have silicone lubricant spray that I use for that type of issue. Fixes squeaky doors too.

Very good. I have used it for ATS and it is great. the Steering wheel may look offbrand-ish but its a wonderful steering wheel and pedals. Other than the squeak. :104:

So silicone is the best for this problem?

Another EXCELLENT product, penetrates, dries to a film that does not attract dust:

I'd certainly not use WD40 in any event...
