Cabin Accessories DLC vs SiSL's Mega Pack?
So I've installed the SiSL's Mega Pack workshop mod for the cabin accessories, and I was just wondering if people have a preference between this mod and the official Cabin Accessories DLC. The mod has more options and stuff to cram into the cab (at least I believe it does), but I would assume that the official DLC would be updated to the new version of ATS much more rapidly once it comes out (?).

So is it worth it to get the official DLC or should I stick with the mod? Should I wait and get it on a sale? Is there a noticeable quality difference that would favor one over the other?

Thanks!

You get more and different clutter in the DLC.

I use both.
SISL' has more stuff (including Starwars, people, and pets) and works on more trucks (mods). A few items exist in both. I conjecture the DLC is for those who don't like to use mods. The DLC does have a few items SISL doesn't (e.g., refrigerator magnets, AC vent clips, etc.). If you want the DLC items, get it on sale. SISL & DLC items are identical quality.

I use both as well. Both are different and good quality. One thing I like about the DLC is drinks fit better in the cup holders and the liquid sloshes back and forth in water bottles. For SiSL, I like both the variety of back wall posters and hanging items (also like me some Star Wars 😉).

Also SCS's pack only works on SCS vehicles, not mods

I love the Cabin Accessories DLC and I do not think it is expensive and I think the people who did it did a fantastic job. I agree with Rynohawk about the drinks fitting better. At the moment in 1.40 beta that is what I am using. I also love SiSL's Mega Pack and he has some great items and when the 1.40 update is released I will be using them both.

I like the cabin accessories dlc but for whatever reason they made some items face 9 o'clock on the dash when they should be facing 6 o'clock. sisl mod I like when I want a rider in the passenger seat (dog or cat)

I saw this post and thought I had all of the DLC. Turns out I didn't have the accessory pack. It has some good stuff and as mentioned above, goes well with SISL. As I was hanging an air freshener up I thought hey!, weren't we supposed get a Hauling Hope air freshener? Did I miss the memo?

If you are are talking about the reward from the Hauling Hope Event. You need to go to WOT to redeem it and then it will be added to your ATS Steam Inventory.

Not true. Jon Ruda truck mods have support for the SCS Cabin Accessories DLC and they fit perfectly. His trucks also have support for SiSL's Mega Pack.

His truck mods are paid mods but they are absolutely superb and much more detailed than any SCS truck. If any players are interested check Facebook.

I would suggest taking official one, mods are usually just trouble.

I, too, would advise anyone to stick with Official SCS/Steam DLCs... but then, Sisl's Mod has some engaging items not in the DLC, so I have both.

My Best Friend during childhood was a Border Collie I cherished for 14 years. Sisl's Mega Pack contains a Shepherd that can be seated in the passenger seat and is a close replica to my Border Collie if I squint my eyes and open my heart to the memories of my Border Collie. :)
does the mod conflict with the dlc??

They do work together. Although I remember at some point that one of the mods isn't being continued anymore but I can still use the other. It came in two parts. I had my dashboard filled with all sorts of clutter, now since that mod won't work I don't because the spaces aren't there anymore. But I still have some mod items to place around. I'm not really explaining it all that well.
