Quick Travel and Time

In the 1.41 beta, I noticed the time does not get updated when doing a quick travel as the previous versions have. Is that a bug or is this how they are doing it? If this is a bug, in addition to fixing the bug, I would also suggest adding mileage to current truck like you are travelling. Just a thought.

It's not a bug, but a deliberate change.

I don't really like this change, it's king of illogical... but whatever, finally found my answer to the same question

Yeah, I use to use this to move from garage to garage to advance time and let my company gain money from the driver jobs but I guess that dont want people getting money easily any more. Its an unfortunate change removing the benefit of gaining $ from all the hard work you did originally. I dont like the change either but good to know they did it. Now I'll just leave my game on over night to gain $ - waste of power imo but I need the $.

You do know that you can also just sleep and/or use the console to advance time?

Fairly certain that they removed to time movement from Quick Travel to accommodate Convoy sessions so that players weren't constantly advancing time when they moved around the map to meet up with each other.

Don't you all love ppl complaining when an exploit get fixed?
I love that the time doesn't pass now when traveling, so much easier to work on achievements.

@goose_Few - Didnt really consider it an exploit just how things naturally work - time advances when you travel. Does it make sense that time stands still and you basically teleport instantly? And there are plenty of mods out there that reduce money spent like no dmg, no traffic offenses. To me, those types of mods are exploits more than the no time advance for traveling.

I can live with it either way so doesnt bother me. My company makes about 2.5 mil in 24 hours just playing normally and its not even a maxed out company as far as # of trucks, drivers, garages. Technically, I could just do the sleep thing too like Wolfgang mentions if I become strapped for cash but I dont see that happening.
