Why not wait until Wyoming release? Good chance the game will go on sale around that time. Released date is Sept 7.

Here your just talking to gamer's...if you want any answers that count regarding $$, head over to Steam's or SCS's page(s)

SCS doesn't read their Steam discussions?

They do but very unlikely you will ever get a reply from them here.

How likely is a sale prior to Wyoming?
Anyone know if there's a history of the state DLC's going on sale around the time a new state is released?

At the very least the game and existing DLC normally go on sale around the time of a new map DLC release, which also corresponds with a World of trucks event and helps to create more promotion of the game in general.

Through the year, the game is on promotional pricing (sale) about every six weeks and end of year holidays, that changes to about every two weeks.

Add the content that you want to your Steam wish list and Steam will send you an e-mail to alert you of sale pricing.

you can look at steamdb to see how often a game goes on sale

I'd expect a franchise sale on the day Wyoming is released and you may even be able to pick up a bunch of the DLC's in a bundle which will reduce the price down even further against even the discounted individual prices of each piece of content.

There is probably no Labor Day sale for SCS products because the Wyoming release is so close. You will have to be patient and wait another 4 days.

The game when a new map expansion drops have previously gone on sale.
Labor Day is Monday Sept 6, 2021 in the USA.

I fail to see the logic behind your post? No offense meant of course.

Becasue many games are already on sale for the Labor Day weekend. My thinking was those who were hoping the SCS products were already on sale would have to wait the long period from now until the 7th to get them on sale. If you still do not follow my thinking then just chalk it up to how my brain works.

None of the sales on this platform are down to 'labor day' - 99% of the world probably don't even know what this is. Steam has discounts on games every single day so any of those are pure coincidence and SCS have never done such a tie-in and probably never will. They probably don't know what it is either.
