In-game ffb not working with G29

I have a Logitech G29 wheel, and I had to install logitech g hub just to make it work. The ffb setting in g hub, which is just the centering spring, works fine. BUT in-game ffb won't work AT ALL. None of it. And it's been this way ever since i got this wheel. In g hub, I've tried disabling the option to use centering spring in non ffb games, which just locks the wheel. I've tried completely uninstalling g hub and re-installing. No idea. I've been using the g hub spring effect for the last year but would reeeeally like some more ffb effects. (I posted about this for ets2 ages ago but no one else knew either.)

Using G-Hug is a hit and miss operation for the G29, some get it working many do not, I have had zero luck with it. If you have no other late model Logi products that rely on G-Hub then uninstall and use Logitech Gaming Software 9.02.65 here is the link.

^^ this dont use the G-hub with the g29, use the gameing software and if you want a better feeling ffb for the game you can try the FFB plugin, was made first for ETS2 but works in ATS too

This. Make sure you have FFB in the game turned on. I do not remember the default settings, but there is a way to completely disable FFB in the game. This would explain the wheel working properly elsewhere, but not in the game itself. There are also all the FFB tuning options you need in the game already, so you do not need to use Logitech software, beyond getting the wheel to work in the first place.

Definitely have the box ticked in game, knew about that before i ever had a wheel. I had a Driving Force GT wheel before this one, which worked fine, but i didn't need the g hub for that. I'll update whether the gaming software works when I'm next at my pc.

I started the game a few months ago and got a new G29 (no add-on shifter). I saw lots of advice online preferring the Logitech Game Controller to G Hub, but I was not able to install LGC with the G29. That driver hasn't been updated since 2018, and I got a message saying when I tried to run the install .exe that it was no longer supported; use G Hub instead. Your mileage may vary. That's what I saw.

Fortunately for me, G Hub worked fine, and I believe it was necessary to install G Hub first before the G29 worked with ATS on a new install like this. I understand Logitech Game Control works fine for many who have legacy installs, but you may or may not be able to get it installed now.

Once G Hub recognized the G29, here's how I set ATS at Controls to get the G29 working great with ATS, including Force Feedback lightly felt rumbling down the highway and increasing in turns, over bumps, or in collisions:

Click Controls > Reset to defaults.

Change the device at the top to "Keyboard + Logitech G Hub Driving Force Racing Wheel USB"

That loads new defaults. Here are the settings I changed that are *not* default settings:

Transmission: Real Automatic [since I do not have the Logitech shifter]

Adaptive Automatic Transmission: [using an 18-speed] High power mode

Steering sensitivity: push slider to 100%
Steering non-linearity: push slider to about 25%

[Yes, leave the default checkmark for Force Feedback and leave the 7 Force Feedback sliders in the middle]

Acceleration axis mode: Inverted

Brake axis: highlight the default selection, and fully depress the brake pedal twice, so this changes to "Joy brake"
Brake axis deadzone: 0%
Brake axis mode: Inverted

I use Ghub with no problems, LGS doesn't work with the G29.

You can try my settings if you wish, I do have Lister single thumper in my truck so engine vibrations are turned off.
