Blue truck reversing on highway lane, black truck failled to yeild and black car not moving on the second lane, probably too busy looking out the window to realize there's a semi truck barrelling at 60 mph behind him
Yes there's also some bugs, but if you don't report them, SCS can't fix em.
It's a shame they can't work in intentionally stupid things with a limit to replicate real drivers.
It hurt him than it did me (just 3% damage). I did not stop and I looked at my mirror. He careened into another car going into the opposite direction. Serves him right for running the light.
I'm a trucker myself, and the amount of idiocy I see on the roadways irl is insane. INCLUDING slow pokes in the center or left lanes who stay there, and even people coming to a dead stop on interstate merge lanes to wait for cars/trucks to pass them. Its infuriating sure, but its actually very realistic lmao
The only thing I think they need to change is when you stop at a stop sign or red light and you're just a little to far over the stop line, but theres still plenty of room for cars to cross in front of you, they shouldn't stop like you're blocking them.
Whenever this issue is brought up people comment like they get t boned everyday in broad daylight, lmao. Some retardation has to be left in to make it immersive, but that doesn't excuse the many shortcomings that should be fixed in a game where you spend your entire playtime driving. Just my 2c.
I read years ago on either this forum or on ETS2, that most of these behaviours are engine related, so it cannot or exrtremely hard to fix. I also read that, there is not a single mod (again it was years ago) that alter the behaviour of the AI cars, instead just playing with the spawning rate of 'em. Whether its true or not, its very sad that the weakest part of this game by far (besides the "can-be-anywhere" town models) is the traffic. Even many years since the release.
But I agree with you, they behaviour is predictable. There is some ways to get over their dumbness. One of 'em is saving/reloading (except online jobs). I also avoid mods that increases their number. Yeah it sometimes feels like im being in a post-apoc. movie, but its spares me tremendous amount of frustration.
