Normal/Heavy cargo and engine HP.
So the mack anthem and freightliner cascadia seems to be the jack of all trades and are able to make ballanced builds.

If i upgrade to a high HP engine it suddenly wont be able to pull normal cargo?
If so are there any mods that fixes this to a more realistic gameplay?

It seems to make no sence that a 650hp diesel monster cant pull a light trailer. (lol)

No. Anything over say 500hp is just a waste when pulling general cargo freight. Fuel economy sucks on it.

Doesn't mean that you can't pull freight with it. It is overkill.

I would watch out on the Mack Anthem too. 505hp is not enough when pulling some of the heavier cargo loads. You can and probably will get stuck on some grades, or even going to a forestry site if the load is heavy enough, say over 120,000 lbs.

There is no reason to worry about fuel economy with current in-game economics. Players generate tons of cash anyway. More HP for normal cargo is fine as it gives you faster acceleration from standing, easier to merge since we have such short ramps in the game. Did they recently block ability to haul normal cargo with max HP engines?

No, they did not. You are just less fuel efficient which max HP engines, resulting in less range of the truck.
Not that much of an issue considering how cheap fuel is compared to the money you make and that you need to rest anyway.

Well I am still considering, since i prefer the medium chassis and medium cabin for mobility and agility when parking trailers I will suffer a smaller gas tank.

Normal cargo should definitely be renamed fuel efficiency to clarify what it represents.

I drive a KW W900 Aerodyne with a maxed out engine. I don't haul much heavy freight, so is this why im faster than all the others?
