Pro Mods Canada load order
Hi all,
I have all 4 files in the correct order for pro mods Canada, but where in the mod folder should they go? Should they be at or near the top or at the bottom with other map mods. I’m a bit confused as to how the load order should be. I understand it ti be, sound and graphic mods at the top, then truck mods and traffic mods in the middle with map mods at the bottom.
Correct me if I am mistaken on this.
Thank you

That is a good general rule. However, the order is more important when dealing with multiple mods that modify the same things. For example, if you're using more than one map mod then the order of those files, in combination, is crucial for them to work together.

I have PM Canada at the bottom but then I have no other map mods with that profile.

Thank you Ryu, so the Pro Mod map should be at the bottom as I don’t have any other map mods running, just all the scs dlc maps.

If you have the SOUND FIXES mod, make sure map mods are underneath it.

Ok, thanks all for the advice. I’ll recheck to ensure things are listed properly.

The four files for ProMods Canda just need to be placed in the "\Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod" folder. Do not worry about other mods in there, do not put them in a separate folder.

The load order top to bottom in Mod Manager is...
Assets
Definitions
Map
Models

Normally other mods sit above these as you say, but there are always exception to the rules.

I had to load Coast2Coast below promods for it to work, I tried it above promods but it crashed the game.
Just in case I now have a promods profile and a C2C profile along with a vanilla profile.

Promods site recommends... from top to bottom in mod manager the following Definition/ Map/ Model/ Assets. https://www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3852

Doh, sorry that was from the installation page and just realised it is the list of file and not the load order.

I did find this page as the one you listed has gone.

it really doesn't matter what load order you have the files in, it will still run perfectly fine.

Is it worth bothering with coast to coast and Meximap? It's all just cut and paste! I used to use coast to coast years back and that was a rather sad copy and paste job!

ProMods for ETS2 does have items created for the specific areas on the maps. I can't imagine them not going creating items and scenery for Canada

I suppose Promods will eventually move onto the other areas of Canada such as French New Guinea, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia and everywhere else in Canada HEEY! :-D. But for now they're working on British Columbia. Would you like a Brewski!? :-D.

I have seen the Canada Mod featured on Live Stream! It looks good! I will give it a go. I might give Meximap another chance. But I don't know about coast to coast?

What do you think Zilljah?

You better use this from wombat.
I wanted to do promods together with coast to coast and mexico, but then you don't see the west coast, a part no longer, and a part of the south of mexico no longer.
promods pulls a large part of the world map left and up.
