when i go into my game it says i am using an older version but i dont have any of the betas active

It's normal when you run the game for the first time just after an update. If you see that message shown each time running the game, then we can call it a problem.

Okay, I just read these post. I am checking the integrity of game and see if finds a missing file or update.

checked it, and still that message "you are using and older ...".
I guess it has somethng todo with that "prefered" group of players which won that 3 hours earlier access for the colorado DLC (as Andy & Dave R already guessed too).

You can try deleting your config (save a back-up copy) and the game will rebuild it during launch
