I dont think soo, they are just there for decoration for now. Unless you play on the multiplay mod called truckersmp but use a separate profil, because its not reccomanded using the Sp profil.

Thanks for your answer, I was asking since I saw the official trailer for ATS and I could see that it was using the CB radio in single player. Likewise, thank you for your prompt reply!

No problem man yes there are a couple of trucks in ATS that has cb radio, i think it is the old Kenworth and one of the Petebuilt. You are probaly thinking of that trailer where a voiceactor is pretending too play diffrent truckers, kinda misleading i know but you can allways check out truckersmp.

Yes it would be fun having radio chatter. Only problem would be it would be a looped recording and then it would get annoying. Kind of like in some locomotives in Train Simulator with the infamous "Dan Hernandez" looped recording. LOL

It's not a CB radio, but I like listening to Art Bell. I download some mp3's from his archive and put them in the music folder. Each episode is around 2 or 3 hours long so not much chance of annoying loops over and over again. He's very good to listen to if you're cruising around Nevada at night lol.

ramhn01 is not talking about the radio you play music on or listen to internet radio stations with, he's talking about the actual CB radio mounted to the upper console in the cab. The one you talk to other players in Multiplayer.

Now, are there mods in ATS that give you talks on CB RADIO? like which? It would be great if it was even looped, but it would be great.
Since the SISL'S MEGA PACK mod has one but it does not work at all, it is only a cabin accessory, now, I saw on YouTube a guy at ATS who used the CB RADIO to give greetings or short talks with her friends in single player !

Run8 has similar with a “Two-sixty nine east, what can I do for ya, over” sample that repeats.

The original Grand Theft Auto used a stock recording of police radio chatter and you’d hear:
“5-George 12” (male)
“5-George-12” (female)
“Yeah 188 Lincoln Street is apparently secure from ground level, we’re gonna rezone.” (male)

This same sample crops up all the time in TV shows about first responders.

The 18:WoS series’ CB only had a handful of lines for each trucker voice, and likewise became incredibly repetitive very quickly.
