It doesn't happen in the game. I believe the environments are static except for occasional rain storms.

They are not all updated for 1.39 just yet, The frosty Winter Weather mod should get updated this week:
https://grimesmods.wordpress.com/category/ats-mods/
you would think the devs would add this to the game without needing mods.

The game is set in eternal summer (longest day of the year) so there is no snow.

Though it is planned to be there at some point in the future.

Nope. No one knows. Maybe next year, maybe in 5 years, maybe in 10 or maybe never.

So does Oregon, California, Idaho, New Mexico, Utah and Arizona, but our Groundhogs Day is indeed June 21, at least for now.

Could be wrong but read that the "environment" is the same across the game. So if you don't mind snow and ice in San Diego or Yuma, no problem.... That said, the season mods by Grimes are very good. Use late autumn and spring when I want a change for a few weeks.

There is a rain amount slider, I don't see why they couldn't do something similar on a state by state basis for snow. Like add some lines in the code that says in Washington snow amount = 30%, New Mexico = 1%, etc. It's not entirely realistic but would still be cool.

Pavel has said they intend to add a weather system to the game. It will come eventually just like many features which were not originally in the game have now been added.

But there are places in Washington where snow would be very uncommon and places where it would snow ten months of the year, similarly Arizona, California, and New Mexico...even Grand Junction in Colorado sees snow so infrequently that last I knew the city does not even own a plow. State by state would, I think, not work out so well. Snow is mopre complicated than that.

Need a real weather engine set the weather per satalite reports. Dont think it would be possible do to the map scale. Number of weather engines for flight simulation. The world map is a 1 to 1 scale.

Have A Great Day
