Special Transport for ATS

I am playin Special Transport on ETS2, but I got to thinking. How is SCS going to do this on ATS? I am up for the challenge on ATS. bring it on. LOLOLOL

Same concept actually. Only specific cities will have the loads, must follow specific routes, etc etc etc.

I too would like to see this for ATS. A definite DLC buy for me if it becomes available.

It will come to ATS. It will be the same thing as in ETS2. Specific cities to specific cities with a predetermined route with escort vehicles.

would be interesting in ATS since you have to go through a lot of underpasses with the Special cargo and some of them are probably big enough where the underpasses on the highways are going to be a problem for the Special oversized cargo.

I already did one of these special transports in ETS2 and I have to say I'm impressed. The pilot car is like a mobile plow or something. Neatly clearing the way for you and the challenge is just what I want! Now we just need it for ATS.
Though there was a stupid truck trying to overtake me on the motorway towards Liege.

@Trucker_Kate: on highways/freeways. AI vehicle can overtake you, but they are more away from you which is very cool to see this.

Yeah, I live in America and I know there are plenty of Underpasses in the US and that's why I would love to see how SCS implements the ATS version of the Special transport. With the heavy Cargo of ATS being Multi-pivot, I could see the same Multi-pivot trailers of ATS for Special Transport. I'm just waiting for the announcement for ATS's Special Transport so I can start throwing money at the screen.

Lol, I can just imagine people throwing money at the screen, literally. Using coins would not be a good idea, lol.

Ohh well, I hope I will not encounter any dumb AI trucks on my next special transport haul. I've experienced the AI trucks to be even worse in ATS. Unbelievably slow dumb AI trucks.

Ohhh boy...okay doing a special transport from Brussel to Hannover. I get on to the highway. We have move over onto the middle lane. so I moved over, but the escort in front had not moved over. An he completely stopped, so I had to stopped and I thought he's waiting on the rear escort. So i wait and wait...and now I wondering why are waiting so long. So i press a key to view out side of cam. Scannned around toward the back low and behold the rear escort is marred with AI traffic it couldn't get out. I was blocking the traffic. So I moved my truck, but instead hit the escort in front....Lost that round 15,000, but luckily it gives you another chance at that checkpoint. So once the game reset and not traffic. The front escort move like he normally should....so I now I am thinking the next time that happens. exit out of game by going on to profile or something and go right back. Clears traffic and both escorts can move on. LOLOL

Dont have to exit to profile. Just save then reload will clear the traffic.

In a special cargo lane change, the rear escort changes lanes, then the front, then you. :)

if many of you didnt notice many roads on ATS dont have toll booths there for loads would go farther

@Frontiersman - Yeah I know how to change lanes, but when the rear escort gets caught up in traffic. Then that's where the problems begins. He has no where to move too. But I found a way around this.
