You copy the SCSfile to your modfolder, the must mods are a Zipfile unpack that with WinZip or Winrar. In your Zipfile you find a SCSfile this is the SCSfile you have to get to your modfolder nothing else. Then you start your game and activate you mod the same way you do with mods from the workshop.

Well... (if I recall correctly), to install non-workshop mods, you extract the contents of the file you downloaded into a folder located at MYDOCUMENTS/ATS/MODS. To extract the downloaded mod, you need to use an program like 7zip or something similar. Assuming everything extracted correctly and you put it in the right location it will now show up as a mod you THEN need to activate as you would a normal workshop mod. That's the basic idea, but (generally speaking) a mod author will give you specifcs on how to install their mod, so take another look at the web page you got the mod from.

I have already unpack the mods to "open any file" and have it in the American Truck Simulator file is this not correct?

Except the folder is just called MOD, with no "s". This is a very common mistake, and I do not blame you for forgetting off the top of your head:steamhappy:

Assuming you run Windows, the correct location to place non-Workshop mods would be:

C:\Users\<username>\My Documents\American Truck Simulator\mod\

Once placed, they should appear in the Mod Manager within the game and get activated in just the same way.
