Is there a mode for just practicing parking?
I just started the game and I'm a noob but really the only thing I've been having difficulty with so far is parking once at the end of a delivery. Is there a mode to practice parking? Any tips as well?

Hmmm no practice mode that I know of. That's actually a good idea though.
As far as tips go,
Chase the trailer. Opposite turns to point the rear of the trailer where you want it to go and chase it.
SLOW. Don't speed up, you'll quickly get into trouble.
Start with the long trailers (NOT doubles, triples or heavy haul of course!) Believe it or not, longer trailers are easier to maneuver.
Try to visualize where you want the trailer, and what it will take to get it there. Go ahead and look from outside view. IRL, good drivers always check what they are backing into.
Patience! It takes a while to master the touch, knowing by instinct how and how far to turn the wheel while backing.
Happy Truckin'!

For a mode to practice parking, although not in American trucks/trailers, you could try Scania Truck Driving Simulator and "Trucks and Trailers". They are both challenge games made by SCS Software(and are unfortunately not free) that you can easily restart the challenge you're on to try again.

Squirrel published youtube tutorials: scroll down a bit on the following link for Squirrrel's Trucking School. #5 & #6 are about reversing & parking trailers.

You could start a second profile, take a quick job, then just drive to different locations in town and practice backing into docks and parking spots. With a second profile, it wouldn't matter if the delivery is late or damaged.

Don't forget that you can use F4 to adjust the interior view & mirrors of each truck.

Learning by doing. Always choose the hard parking option. Try it and if you don't succeed you can always press enter and pass the parking procedure. Be patient. By time you'll get it. The tips from the others will help you a lot. So good luck! :)

American Truck Simulator - How to back up a Trailer

Grab a WoT contract, the time shown is real life hours. Get the load to the delivery city then spend the remaining real hours playing with the trailer.

Good luck!

What I've found to help me is the use of the birds eye view. The view gives you an overall view and changes automatically when in reverse or drive mode. Used in conjunction with side mirror view makes it easier for parking trailers.

Practice makes perfect, my friend. A big part of backing into a spot is getting it set up right before you ever put it in reverse. Basically visulize how it would look pulling out of the space & stop there.

This. Scania Truck Driving in particular has licence skill tests where you can practice on a parking lot just like real rookie drivers do

Me too gvlanum,
Sometimes using a "crib" works until you get the hang of what the trailer wants to do, when you do something with the wheel.

Constant practice by using the choices of delivery is best.
I've often taken several tried to get to the "T" (in couple point).
I once was penalized for being late too. No harm no foul!!!
Vernon.

If you want to practice reversing, parking and manuevering get this game:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/258760/Scania_Truck_Driving_Simulator/

It will teach you and let you practice everything you need to know. It's all about obstacle courses and rodeo driving.

If you wait for the Halloween sale it may go as low as $1.

Just do a quicksave as you enter the drop-off location. You can keep reloading it over and over to practice until you get bored, then do the same for the next run, etc.
