Change seating position in truck
I am using three 21 x 9 monitors but feel like I am sitting at the back of the cab as when look directly left or right, I see interior cabsides behind the windows and should see directly out the window.
As a result from the inside cab view, I cannot see directly down the intersection streets to see if traffic is clear,
Seems like I need to move the seat forward
Any ideas to resolve this

Press "F4" a few times. There should be a window that pops up with various adjustments you can do.

Be sure your config.cfg is set correctly.

uset r_multimon_mode "2" (default sgl mon is set to "0" wrong for triples)

I also zero out the fov horizontal above the other line so that I can use the in game fov sliders. You likely want near 40 degrees. Once you get that set then adjust your seat forward so the sides of the cab are just out of view.

You can also press Esc, then select Cabin Adjustments under "My Truck" and then select Adjust Seat.

When I check the seat position in a one monitor position, default is centered in both dimensions and is perfect. I tried the F4 based seat adjustment in the 3 monitor set up, moviing the seat forward. The forward view is now much more limited, worse than the one monitor fov, requiring look left and right. That defeats benefit of 3 monitors.
I suspect the solution for 3 monitors is the one commented by Saltheart.Foamfollower.
I would then ask where to find the Config file referrd to for a 3 monitor setup ?

Also I do not follow the next paragraph re the zero the fov horizontal......

I believe it is either in the root directory <Documents / American Truck Simulator> or one branch further being <.../Profiles/______> Where the underscores are the profile numbers and or letters.

If you used the default installation then navigate to your documents folder then find your American Truck Simulator folder. As Birckablock says config.cfg is in the root of this folder. Dbl click on it and choose Notepad to open that file type, permanently if you desire. Once open you should be able to locate this line uset r__multimon_mode "0". You will need to change the "0" to "2". Just above the mode line is uset r_multimon_fov_horizontal "50". Change that to "0" as well. Save your config.cfg as an asci text file and start yuour game. F4 a cpl times to get to seat adjustment and set you FOV and seat. Should be able to find a decent compromise in those settings. TrackIR makes it even better.
