Move from steam cloud to computer hard drive.
I am trying to move my saved games in ATS to my computer hard drive rather than having my saved games on the cloud. I have downloaded the files and copied them to a new profile in ATS but its like the new profile is just gone when i go back in. Is there a way to just change my profile from cloud based to pc based so i can use speditor program again. Any ideas how to make that work. I have even unchecked the cloud option in the properties but its still save in the cloud. I am currently at about 80% completed so really dont want to start from the begging just to use that program. Unless there is a way to use speditor with the cloud but haven't found that info either.
Thanks for the help.

Disable steam cloud with your in-game profile (not through steam game properties).

The game should then save your profile in My Documents/American Truck Simulator/profiles

That was a no go on that working. I even did a reboot but is seems the cloud is still the only place it saves. I deleted all the saved game files in the cloud i will try to import those into a new profile but it seems that once your on the cloud there is no going back or i just have some weird bug that wont let it go back.

in your American Truck Simulator folder (default is in Documents) there are two folders for profiles "steam_profiles" and "Profiles" copy the numerical folders in the steam_profiles folder over to Profiles, untick cloud and you should be good to go.

Yeah thats what I thought as well but something in a file somewhere makes it always save to cloud even when cloud is unchecked. I figured If i took my saved games from the steam cloud and put them in the new profile that i would be good to go nope still goes to the cloud.

Interesting, I just made a new cloud profile made a few saves then done the old fashioned untick cloud save clicked apply and the profile became local.

wonder if its because its been backed up to the cloud for so long. I also wonder if i do a uninstall then reinstall if that would work. It definitely has me wondering why its not working the way it probably should. I was also think that maybe it has to do with it being a transfer from over a year ago when i built this new computer.
