Automatic transmission but with sequential shifting?
Tried a few setting but I only seen to get either sequential transmission with the paddles OR automatic.

I want automatic transmission but I still want to be able to use my sequential shifting paddles for gears when I park.

Why waste paddles for something as infrequently used as shifting between Forward, Neutral, and Reverse? You can assign buttons to Shift to Neutral, Shift Up, and Shift Down to cover that and save the paddles for things you do constantly.

Use "real automatic."

I think that he is using Real Automatic, and that he does not want to use sequential, so need to switch anything on the fly...

I was using manual transmission with every shift up or down done via the paddles. This was annoying with 18 gears.

I wanted automatic but still with the ability to shift with paddles as I find shifting with the paddles much easier for parking.

The above suggestions seems to give me what I want although it jumps straight to A6 when I shift up rather than '1' like it did before which might be an issue for small movements when parking a trailer.

Having the transmission start in A6 is normal, starting in A1 would not be. If you want to use real automatic but still be able to shift sequentially (certainly not a real world situation) that is easy to do using either your paddels or just buttons on the wheel or keys on the KB. Is that what you want?
