Hey devs are you planning on adding the Tesla semi?
I know it will be added as a mod but I would love an official add-on

It would certainly be interesting, however I don't believe SCS software would add the Tesla Semi unless there was overwhelmingly large requests for it, not to mention to even start doing it, they would have to buy licencing rights, and all that kind of stuff. So even if they did add it, it would indefinitely be payware.

There is a mod actually that adds the Tesla all electric truck and tandem, I forget what place had it but search Youtube for Jeff Favigano Tesla and I belive he linked it in his video descp

The Tesla semi isn't even in production yet so i doubt the devs have any plans. Although if the mad man known as Elon wants it in american/euro truck it will happen which knowing Elon it's possible.

side note: will be interesting to see how the industry treats the tesla semi. I personally don't think the downtime the truck needs for charging will be tolerated by the industry except for inter city deliveries.

The hightop can be removed and it looks fine, Jeff made two vidz of it and in the shorter one he did remove the Hightop for a standard stand-up sleeper cab.

God I hope they don't add that ugly thing. This is American Truck Simulator. Not ugly truck game....

The Nikola One or Two could be good additions though. If they got that liscense Nikola also makes a European cabover-style hydrogen electric truck for the European market.

It would be nice if they added a electric truck, cuz the "American" trucks are way less powerful than European trucks. So if they added an Electric Truck to ATS it would be the best truck in the game if it would be realistic.

it goes 0-60 with 80000 pounds of cargo in less than 20secs.... it can look like a giant turd and ill still want it

It's the year 2030:

SCS has just released ATS 1.57 together with the Texas DLC and the new XMod Sound System and .... nobody complains!
All trucks in game still just make "bsssssssss".
