No nose vs nose truck
Talk about a challenge. I have tried this morning to drive the no nose truck (man truck). But when I attach it with a heavy CArgo....it starts off everything is okay until I get on the highways. If I move the truck slight bit, it veers sharply to the directions and if I try to correct. I ended up start in to a steer guardrail damanging the truck 89% that was my first attempt. I thought to myself maybe I got too cocky and think this truck can handle and I was going to fast in turns.

So i restarted right where I picked up the heavy load thinking I'll slow down when it comes to curves. So off I go start off once really good and then on to the highways. Once again, I am driving really good and I want to get away from guardrail. Once I try tocorrect it and I am swerving all over the road trying to maintian th 0% damage on cargo. I correct it. Few minutes later i am into the guardrail again. Needless to say I cancelled the job and sold the Man truck. Got into Kenworth nose truck and the couldn't most happy.

But I am bound and determine to give the Man truck another go...but with a lighter cargo and see what happens.

Has anyone have this problem? but before the critizism. I did play ETS1 with Man truck and I was having the same problem. So it's not like I haven't tried. I have.

A "no nose" truck can't handle those trailers. In America truck have nose for a purpose.

Klass I didn't know this. Thank you but I saw someone showing a video of them driving a no nose truck and was doing pretty good with it.

You can drive an european truck, but not with Oversized trailers.

Trucks in the US aren't restricted to length as severely as in Europe. That and other reasons make US cabovers a thing of the past. But when they were commonplace, yes indeed they could haul heavy. However, in game, the power and stability of a mod cabover is dependent upon the mod creator.

The sheer Power of the no nose truck really got me. Then it quickly reminded why I stayed away from them. But the Stability oh the Stability.,.....Oh that's it. The settings if I move the lever to the right with no nose with trailer would it make a difference?

Just so you know..
"no nose" = cabover
"nose" = conventional

Strange, my Scania R (ported from ETS2) seems to pull the Heavy Haul loads just fine...

Your story sounds a bit strange to me, because I actually have the opposite problem with long nose trucks, as I feel that these have an excessive turning radius, especially when I'm going around sharp corners and also backward parking with trailer where there is very little space for example the extremely long tankers for refineries.

Is it true?
So it's so good that my Volvo FH16 can not read, so far it has happily pulled everything I've offered it, including heavy cargos. :steamhappy:

SCS did change the way physics handled in order to be able to support the heavy cargos properly. In this case, the cab-over truck you're trying to use may be outdated and not function properly with heavy cargo loads.

I can not think of anything else.

I'm glad you're happy with the truck I recommended.
I have the Scania T instead. In the US I prefer driving a long nose truck, but the engines in the US trucks don't do them justice. :steamsad:
I've made my truck as big as the US ones and it's not always easy to turn with it.

But here you go, one beast with 730 hp of V8 power hauling 53 tonnes with ease. Finally some loads where I can use all that power. :steammocking::104:

@brian, the stupid car decided to hit your truck instead of keeping its nose back from you. Typical stupid AI. Nice truck though. You can't argue with Scandinavian power. :steamhappy:

Happy :longhaul:in' and hauling.

Maybe he had a 4x2 chassis. :steammocking:

I like a truck with a Jimmy Durante.

I wonder how many people here talk about semi trucks and everything about them without being trained or certified to operate one or certified and trained to train new drivers how to operate one like myself. I already had two people try correcting me on semi truck logic and i had to explain to them how their logic is in video games, not real life.

You are the exception you have been driving these Cabover trucks in game. How?
