Owning your own resting place where it is big enough for both the truck and trailers.
Don't get me wrong ATS is great right now especially with the heavy Cargo.
The Heavy Haul Cargo DLC was a step in the right direction, building on gameplay features and the ability to replay. I wouldn't be surprised if that is their best selling DLC, it really USEFUL.
I hope the devs see this post, all the 18 Wheels of Steel Games were good because of those features.
Other good references are Rig n Roll and Hard Truck Series minus the arcade features, namely;
• Profitable illegal loads
• Back roads/off highway routes to avoid police or weigh stations
• Different starting difficulties - Changes starting cash and how you can burrow from bank
• Better traction simulation on wet or icy surface and generally better suspension physics
Journal - tracks all of your business transactions; purchases of trucks or trailer, deliver history, and employee histroy.
• Cargo delivery - Cargo transportation can be competitive or noncompetitive. If it's competitive, the cargo is delivered by a few truckers, with a bonus going to the first one to complete the delivery.
• Announcements of special contracts for delivering select cargo. In order to win the special contract and accept the priority shipment, you will need to have established a good relationship with the contractor. - The current skills system is quire linear and boring. Specific business relationships with your company and another warehouses/shippers would be much more interesting. It would allow players to tailer their play to specific loads sets or a variety based on not only skills. Maybe perks for discount and better driving would be better.
• Trucker news system - basically provides info about special contract offers...similar to the email system but is more about managing information than alerts
• Weather - Rig n Rolls weather was dynamic offering snow and rain
• Official Trailers & Companies around them - Livestock, Bulk Liquid Tank, Beverage, Logging, Flat Bed and Low Boy Trailer. - It would be nice to have some OFFICIAL prefabs and companies for livestock, logging and machinery.
I'd pay if those features could be implemented over time.
18 Wheeler did not have any of those things. Remind you, 18 Wheeler is an arcade game.
This is likely never going to happen unless SCS can get licenses for those brands. And they're having a hard enough time with just the trucks alone. Beverage companies and such are likely going to command high dollars for their licenses possibly or simply refuse outright.
However, seeing a rendition of the beverage trailers that are used would be awesome. I don't think I've even seen a mod for it yet either.. Those would be nice to take to the Mal-Wart look-a-like, gas stations, etc...
