What to do when the ai traffic blocks the road for no apparent reason
I'm driving on a 2x2 lanes road, and as this stops and becomes a 2 lanes road, the road is blocked by a truck without a visible reason. :-(
What do you do in that situation?
When I have waited for about a minute without the fools begin to drive, I turned on the video and waited another 1 minute ...
And then lost patience.

Are you using any map mods?
Briannospam Jun 17, 2017 @ 7:24am
No.
But I have some trailer mods, and as you can see a Volvo truck mod, and also some other mods, but no map mods.
I have these mods for a very long time now witout any problems, and this is the first time I have a situation like this.
I have before seen ai traffic blocking the road for some visible reason (accidents), and there I just have to wait for a minute or 2 when I could see they are moving a littel forward and reverse several times until everyting is fine again.
But this time, absolutly nothing happen, and that's why I lost patience.

Go on the burns and drive by them. They do that do me as well. Don't get stuck on bridge One lane and you have a vehicle turning and you see a bunch of oncoming cars. No fun at all. i had to sit there and wait.

What you did there in video was correct, me I would have used the burns because you don't know when they are going to start moving.

There are 2 ways to clear traffic. First is just make a quick save and then load that quick save, the traffic will be cleared. Second is, use the developer's console to turn traffic off and then turn it back on again.

Edit: corrected typos

I take it you have fines turned off and a no damage mod?

This sort of thing can happen at intersections and there is no other way of clearing traffic unless you do what I have suggested in my first post.

The save works. I've used that on frequent times that the AI has bottle necked junctions

You can also try leaning on the horn, but if all else fails, save and reload. I've seen AI trucks get hung up on the vanilla map with no mods a few times, it's pretty rare. Once they get stuck, they don't become unstuck.

Yeah, it's very annoying when the stupid AI blocks the road.
Speaking of getting stuck forever at intersections. :steamfacepalm:

The trucks take forever to turn and waiting for them to move is very tiresome.
I had to save and reload to clear the intersections.
Last week I actually saw a truck blocking the interstate.

Happy :longhaul:in'

Thank you for the tip. I will do this whenever I am stuck in a jam. Funny. I use saves alot but don't use it when in traffic jam. LOL

If there's a sidewalk or shoulder, use that lol. I had an AI car run a stop sign (which I was then ticketed for the following crash -.- ) then wouldn't move and they all stacked up around me. So I just drove up onto the sidewalk and down to the next street >.>
