Why is my ATS mod files in Notebook?

When I download mods for ATS and Ets 2 the mods become in notebook and not the scs file..

Sounds as though you mistakenly set a file-type assoication for Notepad to open .scs files.

You need to right click, open with WinZip or 7Zip or whichever you use.

I downloaded a new mod today a b-triple mod for ats, but its not working...

I tryed to switch it to 7zip, but its not working... I tryed to use this mod: http://atsmods.lt/b-triple-trailer/

It works fine for my litlebrother, but for me the game only crash every time I try to get a job with the trailer.

I have a similar issue if you can help me, I downloaded the same mod the B-triple, I instaled it normaly and it showed up in the mod manager, but for some reaseon it just doasn't show up in game, I can't take jobs and it doasn't even apear in the trailer browser, it's realy strange, other mods work properly, I don't know if it might be, a problem with my game version it is 1.32.4.1s and I didn't find the version that the mod needed to function

I didn't find the problem, I don't think it is version becouse I saw my friends using the same mod in 1.32.x and it worked fine, it says in the description that it is for ATS v1.6 I am going to try downloading the 1.6 ats, if it works ok, but if it doasn't how can it work for my friends?

Do any of you have any clue to what is going on, so I don't get stuck in a problem like this in the future.

There have been 2 major updates to the game since that was released and it needs to be updated. Why don't you ask your friends how they got it to work.

Ty for the help, I managed to make it worked in the v1.6, I talked to my friends too, and they sent me some screenshots, and just to my happines they were using v1.6, and they told me that they were using v1.32, today I realized my friends are stupid, ty for your time anyways =D
