A clutch requires an analog axis, and with two pedals you don't have one to spare. Real Automatic as your transmission type allows realistic (almost all modern trucks) shifting behavior. Sequential as the transmission type is fine for race cars, but out of place in a truck.
Otherwise it's just personal taste what button on the wheel you assign to what function, remembering that as the wheel turns so do your buttons, so it might not be the best idea to assign a function that you want to find reliably to a wheel button unless you will only call for that function when the wheel is straight.
Using mouse and keyboard to select functions for a while you can find what you rely on most and consider adding them to the wheel buttons.

Sequencational you said ? I was just looking to not have yo hold down the paddles for driving in reverse and forward. Also had a couple of instances where I shift into forward or reverse and the the truck would not move thanks

If that's all you want, try cruise control.

You must assign a key to Forward, Neutral and Reverse. Once you put the truck into any of thos gears it will just stay there until you press the key which changes what gear it is in. Under no circumstances use Simple Automatic :cozybethesda:

I use real auto, regarding assigned left paddle to forward I have not neutral, right paddle to reverse others told me trans type sequenical anything else might help?

Honestly, although it is all user preference, giving paddles to F and R is kind of a waste as you infrequently need to choose which direction to go in. If you have no shifter set up I'd just go with buttons on the wheel or even the keyboard for those.

Sandhill if you recommend not to use paddles for f and r then what can I use them for?

Again, pure user preference, but I use them for E and [Enter], two keys I seem to use a lot and wanted to stop reaching for the KB to get to - I've also used them for Cruise Control Up and Down, that also works well.

Sorry one more where are the forward and reverse assessment menu so iam assigning the right functions. Throttle right?

Try this
Options/Keys&Buttons - assign a key or button to "Shift to Neutral"
Options/Controls - assign a key or button to "Automatic Gearbox:Drive"
Options/Controls - assign a key or button to "Automatic Gearbox:Reverse"

Throttle and brake should of course be assigned to your pedals in Options/Controls and have nothing at all to do with the forward and reverse assignments.
Good luck !

Thank you I'll try that

My bad, those must expect a switch that holds position. The solution is out there :lunar2019smilingpig:

I use the paddles for turn signals.
