You can turn detours off in the gameplay settings by putting the detour slider all the way to the left.
Every blocked exit adds several hours to my ETA making it impossible to deliver on time. That's assuming I can ever deliver it because it seems like it is impossible and I will keep getting detoured forever.
I am just going up and down highways, there are no alternative routes available even if I ignored the GPS directions.
I am aware detours can be turned off but that shouldn't be necessary mid-game.
Yes, that can definitely happen...as that's what happens in real life too, you miss your deadline.
Completely blocked off delivery point sounds like a bug though. Hard to say without seeing the map.
The feature is nice however the road network in ATS does not support the feature very well.
If the road block can't be passed and there are no alternative routes so that you truly are stuck then that's a clear legitimate case for using the developer console. You can teleport your truck past the road block and complete the delivery.
(Also, not sure but if you clear AI traffic with the dev console, would that also clear the road blocks?)
Unless they changed it. You can just drive round them and carry on as normal.
I just always squeeze past or back up the on ramp.
When it happened for the second time there was no other viable route available so I created a save point. I found some road blocks meant I couldn't get my trailer through cleanly but reloading the game generated a fresh road block each time and some have more space to get through.
