Weigh stations
Why bother with Weigh stations you cant carry over weight loads they are just a pain in the A#@&^s i just drive right past them. Pointless stopping for no reason what so ever they should be removed OR give us the option to carry overweight loads and have to find a way around them.

Can't do away with them cause this is a simulator, which is supposed to simulate real life.
You can turn off traffic offences and scoot by them. If you do that IRL, plan on going broke paying the fines.

I've been overweight several times using the grain hopper trailer with pelleted animal feed for the cargo. 52,000lbs is what the weight was before.

No way you can carry that much weight legally and I was right. Getting pulled into the weigh station and GVW was around 85,000. I'm thinking that has been fixed.

Even though we don't get fined for being overweight at the time with the recent "inspections" that were added I'm hoping it is only a matter of time before this happens.

I like 'em. It's a little event that breaks up long highway drives. Only difficulty I have sometimes is the warning can come too late to gracefully pull into the weigh station turn off. e.g. if I'm overtaking a vehicle when the warning comes in, I usually have to do a racing manouver to pull in :P

I pulled into a station today near Price and it flashed up vehicle gross weight 62,112lb ' your vehicle is not in perfect technical state. Be more careful next time!

Exactly. The warning is very late. That's the only (a little bit) annoying thing about it.
They also pull me out very randomly. Sometimes they leave me alone the whole way from A to B sometimes they pull me out 10 times in a row at every station. I didn't get the logic behind that so far, but it seems to be kind of random and not so much depending on your weight.
They pull me out with light stuff sometimes and leave me alone with heavy cargo sometimes.

That is the inspections that I was referring to. We will now get fined for damages and illegal trailer usage.

My tyre wear is only 12% everything else is at 0%.. So i guess it must be the tires?

I understand now thx.

For those finding the warning comes up late (for when overtaking) make sure you keep an eye out for the weight station signs. Some (or all?) even have the signs saying 'Trucks must use right lane'. It's nice they included the PrePass system so you don't always have to pull into the weight station.

OMG! 12% ... close to blown up so to say... haha...

And, yes, I always keep an eye on them and be ready if the want to take a look at my truck.

A bit of a chuckle there. I've been there once or twice. I'm not sure of the % you're called in, but now when I see the sign for a weigh station ahead I start slowing down assuming I'll have to pull in. Sometimes the ramps are short.

We don't actually know how close they are at that... The engine starts malfunctioning at least at 12% damage (happened today) and could be earlier.

Could even be that the damage percentage is not even at all a "counter" to a part being destroyed but instead a modifier making random calamities increasingly more and more likely. I haven't seen any explanation as to how the damage actually works in the game. If that's the case then even smaller percentages makes it risky to continue.

It's measuring overall damage to the truck. Fines are assessed (as well as chances for malfunction) when overall damage exceeds 10%. With 12% on tires and 0% everywhere else, you were under the 10% point for overall damage.
