HELP! Graphics are a mess since the update
The game was running beautifully before the update, but ever since then, I can't get my graphics to look like they used to. It reset to the lowest possible settings and everything was blurry, so I adjusted a few things until it looked the way it used to and now the motion while driving is juddery, laggy, and awful - I can't seem to find a happy medium. Has anyone else had this issue and have you found the right balance of settings? If I switch to anything other than Low, even my mouse arrow has a lag. Really frustrated. Thanks. First thing, at the top of Steam click on Help and then System Information, copy and paste all of the resulting text here.

HD520 Video card Driver - Dameware???

Looking Dameware up it seems to be a remote auto driver updating software.
HD520 is not a fast GPU anyway, so you will always have to run with low-medium settings.

First try updating using the real Intel driver. There's one just released in March 2020.

If you got the laptop second hand, or it's not still under warranty, or part of warranty provisions I'd be getting rid of this Dameware. But that's just my opinion.

Intel integrated graphics with 12 year old drivers? Once the drivers are updated you should be able to play with everything on lowest settings and get 20-30 or so fps maybe...

Yeah, I inherited this thing from my old job, hence the weird Dameware thing. I know it's not a gaming rig by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm just confused as to why it worked just fine before the update and is now suddenly awful. I'm updating what I can to see if that helps at least.
