Coast to coast and other mods not installing as they should
To any modder out there... here is the full issue::

Trying to UPDATE with coast to coast 1.9.1 ((i have used this mod and others in the past with out issue))

BUT>>> deleted old version... got new version from MODSTAT + mexuscan **latest**

click on the download link>>> normally it would choose automatically **as winzip** but... **which program do you want to use to open** only options == **note-pad/movie maker/internet explorer/word/wordpad/paint** there is NO OPTION for **winzip**.

HOWEVER>>> i do what i have always done... **i ignored the >open with< thing** and just dragged from the download bar >>>> ats mod folder in **my docs**

and it ALWAYS transferrs as **internet explorer** i ignore this fact... open the game >>> NO mods showing >>> close the game >>> open ats mod folder >>> double click mod to open file >>> brings up the internet explorere download box >>> Open/save >>> OPEN = brings up download AGAIN >>> SAVE = **save/save as** i save as >>> all files >>> ALWAYS saves as INTERNET EXPLOERER

PLEASE HELP!!! QQ **((very sorry for any caps in this post... i AM frustrated... thank you for your time))**

I just went to the above site to test it out (I already have the current version, just testing) and it appears that there is a virus attached to the download link...
My anti-virus caught it, but it attempted to hijack my Firefox browser with a very professional sounding warning (alledgedly from Microsoft) saying that my computer was "infected" and to call this 1-800 number for MS tech support.
I sent a message to the site admin, but for now, I wouldn't recommend downloading the file from modsat at this time...

The Top link is for C2C 1.9.1 map, The Bottom one is for Mexuscan 1.11.4.

Also make sure you have an ad blocker working. Just to be safe.

I use Adblocker Plus on my end. It stops all this crap that they like to put in to the download site. It is a royale pain in the A-ss.

"Also make sure you have an ad blocker working. Just to be safe."

I've been running "Ghostery" for a few years now and to date, it's the best ad-blocker I've ever used. I don't use IE but it will work with it.

I haven't played ATS in a few months (medical reasons) but with this new scaling I'll get back into it, for shorter durations. I was a real world OTR driver for over 30 years but 4 ruptured discs in my back sidelined me for good, I still love driving though.

I use adblocker plus, on my Chrome, Mozilla and Edge. I have not had any trouble with mine either.

saying you have no problem does not exactly help me does it lol???
Ryu Nov 15, 2016 @ 11:47am
If you get an IE icon as the "file type" after trying to use the "Save as..." when right-clicking on the link, then the link is not to the actual file, rather, it's a link to a script that is likely wanting to display some ads just prior to sending the file. If you're running AdBlock then you should be fine with left-clicking the link and letting the file come through after the ads are blocked.

Ryu - Thank you... but once i clicked on the file **the first time** it asked **how would you like to open this file** i ignored it... now it chooses IE as default every time... and i CANNOT change this

I am glad you got it working. I am just curious as to why you do not have enough room on your OS to install Windows completely? As Windows is the most important thing to have on a computer it needs to be installed fully.

If I was you, I would be deleting things so that I could run Windows fully and you can actually have steam games installed on an external hard drive so it does not fill up your computer. Just google it and there are instructions how to do that. As long as steam knows where to download your games it will do that. However, make sure first before doing that, perhaps asking in another thread as well.

By the way, I see you mentioned above that you will be removing this thread. Unfortunately after a certain number of posts in a thread it is not possible and sometimes leaving a thread is good for other people who may have the same issues.

i cannot delete ANYTHING from c drive as i ONLY use it for widows and documents.... my OS drive started as 165 Gig... now its 48 and if i delete ANYTHING it will mess it up QQ

Ok i will leave this open then :)

Also i have games installed to my D drive ONLY which IS a seperate hard-drive
