Can you edit the files to get money/level/game completion?

I recently had to get a new computer because my other one died. On that computer, I had a very successful single player career. I'm going to play ATS no matter what, but I really don't want to go through the entire process again of upgrading all my garages, getting all the money needed for all my trucks, etc.

Can I edit the files to give me more money, xp, and levels?

There are a few mods that make you gain super amounts of cash and xp. Save yourself some work dude and just download one.

Yes, you can edit your profile save games to do just about anything. It's just a little tricky, that's all. You'll need to download the SCSC decryptor tool from the official forum website and you'll need to set the parameter 'g_save_format "3"' in your top level 'config.cfg' file.

With that parameter set, the game will save it's profile saves with an extra plain text copy of the save file, though still encrypted (with the filename 'game.sii.0'). Use the decryptor on that file to convert to human readable. You will need to rename it to 'game.sii' for the game to load it up but the game will be quite happy to load it in it's human readable text format just fine.

You can use the decryptor on both the 'game.sii.0' file and the 'info.sii' file, as well as your 'profile.sii' file.

You could also download Cheat Engine, and it is better, because you can use it to modify any file from any application, including games.

First of all, the laptop completely died. Won't even start.

Second, I know about backups, thanks, I do have a USB stick. However, other things take importance over ATS files. If people choose to cheat, that is their right, and that is how they play. They don't need or care for your opinion on it.

Ohhhh, i think i may know a little about how short life is.. I'm 66 years old and have stage four emphysema. That means my time is very short in deed. I'm not dead today, tomorrow may be another story. I'v played through ATS twice now to nearly a billion dollars.. First time my raid set died and destroyed three drives. this last time some jerkwad targeted me with the exrhidn virus. and that pretty much cost mew my whole computer.. You can blame me all you want for being in a hurry, but frnkly, i dont have the time to care. IIts a single player game. I'm gonna cheat..
